Refund & Service Policy 

 

Horizon Electronics Repair

This Refund & Service Policy is provided in accordance with Indiana consumer protection laws, including the Indiana Deceptive Consumer Sales Act. Please review carefully before authorizing service.

 

1. Diagnostic Fees (Non-Refundable)

Diagnostic or evaluation fees, when applicable, are non-refundable.
These fees cover time, labor, and expertise required to assess device condition and repair options.

Diagnostic fees may apply when:

  • A repair is declined

  • A device is deemed non-repairable

  • The reported issue cannot be consistently reproduced

 

2. Labor & Service Charges

Under Indiana law, service providers are not required to refund fees for services already performed.

Accordingly:

  • Labor charges are non-refundable once service has begun

  • Labor fees are charged for time, skill, and effort regardless of repair outcome

  • Labor fees are not refundable due to:

    • Change of mind

    • Device condition

    • Discovery of additional or underlying damage

 

 

3. Parts & Completed Repairs

  • Parts installed and functioning as intended are not eligible for refund

  • Completed repairs are not refundable

 

If a replacement part is found to be defective, Horizon Electronics Repair will address the issue in accordance with the applicable limited repair warranty.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Successfully completed repairs

  • Installed parts that function as intended

  • Damage caused after repair (drops, liquid exposure, misuse)

 

4. Unsuccessful or Partial Repairs

Some devices cannot be fully repaired due to severe damage, corrosion, or prior repair attempts.

In such cases:

  • Diagnostic and labor fees may still apply

  • Parts not installed may be refunded at our discretion

  • No guarantee of repair success is made

 

5. Canceled or Declined Repairs

  • Repairs canceled after work has begun may incur labor or diagnostic fees

  • Devices declined after diagnosis are still subject to diagnostic fees

 

6. Warranty Limitations

Any warranty provided covers parts and workmanship only, as disclosed at the time of service.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Physical or liquid damage

  • Software or data issues

  • Battery wear or aging

  • Damage caused by misuse or third-party repairs

 

7. Mail-In Repairs

  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable

  • Horizon Electronics Repair is not responsible for shipping delays, loss, or carrier-related issues

 

8. Refund Method

Approved refunds, when applicable, are issued to the original form of payment.
Refund processing times may vary based on payment provider policies.

 

9. Service Refusal

Horizon Electronics Repair reserves the right to refuse service, as permitted under Indiana law, for:

  • Devices with severe or unsafe damage

  • Suspected stolen or fraudulent devices

  • Incomplete or inaccurate customer information

  • Safety or liability concerns

 

10. Policy Disclosure & Acceptance

This Refund & Service Policy is disclosed prior to service.
By submitting a device for repair, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to this policy.
